Inbound / Growth Marketing Strategist (Remote)

Fullmoon Digital, a full-service digital marketing agency, is seeking an experienced Inbound/Growth Marketing Strategist to join our pack. 

This position will refine and grow Inbound and Growth Marketing practices our clients.

Growth Marketing requires a unique mix of strategic, analytical, technical, and tactical skills. It requires the ability to understand and map the full customer journey, identify key touchpoints, assess what’s working, and where the top priority marketing investments should go.

The Growth Marketing Strategist will assess the full customer journey, build prioritized plans for maximum results, then oversee the implementation of those plans for clients. In a nutshell, get those MQLs!

Customer Journey Analysis:

  • Work with clients to develop Personas and identify and map their Customer Journey including key touch points.
  • Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot Analytics, Hotjar, etc. to understand and explain to the client what stages of the Customer Journey are and are not performing as they should.
  • Look at all aspects of a client’s digital ecosystem throughout the Attract- >Engage- >Delight stages of the Flywheel. This includes traffic sources, usability of their website, their content marketing effectiveness, their lead follow-up and sales process, and customer engagement tactics. It includes assessing their marketing automation infrastructure and whether they have key capabilities like lead nurturing and personalization.

Plan Development:

  • Using the insight developed during the analysis phase, develop prioritized Growth Marketing plans, identifying where in the Customer Journey investments will yield the biggest improvement.
  • Plans will typically include content and Inbound marketing tactics such as ongoing blogging, content hub development, downloadable content offers, landing pages, email nurturing, and personalization.
  • Plans will also often include some mix of Search Engine Optimization, Conversion Rate Optimization, and usability improvements as well, all of which provide key leverage to content and Inbound marketing performance.
  • Present these plans to clients for approval.

Inbound Marketing Implementation:

  • The Growth Marketing Strategist will bring particular expertise in content and Inbound marketing to the marketing plans since this is the cornerstone of most Growth Marketing approaches.
  • This may include HubSpot or SharpSpring (our 2 platforms of choice) marketing automation implementation, including potential integrations with other CRMs such as Salesforce.
  • It may also include developing and managing Inbound marketing campaigns without a marketing automation platform.
  • This role will directly oversee the content and Inbound aspects of the plan, while working with other departments in the company for specialties such as SEO, CRO, UX analysis, paid content activation campaigns, and web development.
  • Collaborating with SEO specialists, this role will oversee content development and optimization for search engine optimization projects, as well as analysis and reporting of SEO performance.
  • Collaborating with UX specialists, this role will become proficient in assessing website User Experience using tools such as Hotjar.
  • This role will brief and oversee in-house or freelance writers to develop content in support of plans.
  • The role will include ongoing analysis of how the Growth Marketing campaign is performing including presenting the analysis to clients and recommending next steps based on the results.
  • This role will also require maintaining up-to-date expertise on the latest developments in the HubSpot and SharpSpring platforms and managing our vendor relationships with those companies.

BEST CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • At least two years of hands-on content or Inbound marketing experience using a marketing automation platform such as HubSpot, SharpSpring, Pardot, or Marketo
  • Experience doing Persona development and Customer Journey mapping
  • Experience doing performance analysis using tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience developing content marketing plan recommendations and budgets
  • Exposure to Search Engine Optimization, Conversion Rate Optimization and/or User Experience Optimization a plus
  • Previous agency experience a plus
  • Strong writing skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Broad, high-level exposure to an array of best practices in digital marketing, with deep expertise in the areas of specialty outlined above
  • Applicants should show a history of being self-learners, driving themselves to look for new techniques and technologies that can improve their digital marketing effectiveness
