Google Ads Specialist

The Paid Search Specialist is responsible for creating paid search campaigns for clients. The position requires someone that is skilled in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Bing Ads.

The ideal candidate has proficient knowledge in Search, Display, Shopping, Retargeting, and Video Advertising with strong written and verbal skills.

The Paid Search Specialist works directly with clients and should be comfortable interacting with clients on the phone, through email, and in person (where necessary).

 

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive paid search strategies to drive direct response and new user acquisition for your book of clients – including Paid Search, Shopping, Display and Video advertising.

  • Assists with developing and executing a/b tests for ad copy, bid strategies, keywords, audience segments, and images.
  • Utilizing business acumen to work closely with client teams to identify and fully understand business needs, campaign performance objectives, and opportunities to grow the relationship and client investments.

  • Measures impact and effectiveness of campaigns by reporting on key performance indicators (conversions, conversion rate, revenue, CTR, cost per conversion, ROI, etc.).

  • Creating and managing paid search accounts/campaigns via various paid search marketing platforms including but not limited to: Google Ads®, Bing®, LinkedIn Ads, etc.

  • Managing Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Display, Remarketing, App Install and Video advertising campaigns.

  • Working with direct response advertising strategies to drive sales revenue and/or qualified leads.

  • Conducting keyword research, writing ad copy, and establishing bidding strategies to meet and exceed client KPIs.

  • Creating and implementing campaign A/B test experiments to identify optimal campaign settings

  • Using Google Analytics to develop insights and action items intended to improve paid search performance and meet client goals.

  • Analyzing paid search campaign results and adjust strategy and budgets accordingly.

  • Communicating with clients regularly to discuss goals and deliver results.

  • Developing strategies across all marketing channels to improve client goals (eg. CPA, ROAS) and achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly management of bids, budgets, and resulting performance to ensure accomplishment of performance goals in alignment with stated objectives.

  • Ongoing account optimization: structure improvements, targeting improvements (geo, demographic, day-parting, keyword and URL), frequency caps, search query mining, keyword expansion, advanced use of negative keywords, and improvement of bid management processes and algorithms.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop new capabilities and test new strategies.

 

BEST CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • Experience creating and optimizing large paid search (SEM) campaigns.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, third-party SEM tools, Bing Ads Manager, PPC software, Google Ads Editor.
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Google re-marketing.
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Facebook Ads Manager and Social Media Marketing platforms.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices, strategies and latest developments in paid search
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Google Ads, Bing Ads, including keyword development, account setup, ad creation, content network, match types, impression share, negative keywords, conversion rates, goal set up, extensions setup, competitor insights, etc.
  • Excited to solve problems.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skill (written and oral)
  • This is an entrepreneurial/results-oriented position. You’ll be expected to hit the ground running (Self-Motivated!).
  • Learn and remain current with new industry trends and best practices
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects and able to organize, prioritize and structure workload
